From the first of June, until the first of September, the sun was an enemy. Friendly enough when it first appeared at dawn, it soon turned into a burning globe. Day in, day out, without a single cloud. Until on September 1, the wind changed direction, blowing from the north to bring respite.

Born in England, I grew up in Canada, may often be found walking long-distance paths in Europe, and have lived most of my life in Italy, in Liguria and here at Fattoria Resta in Tuscany.
